I know how you feel about website layouts. When you aren’t happy with the layout but don’t have time or motivation to make a new one you just don’t want to visit your own website. I’m glad you found a compromise.
I do the same thing. If I don’t feel creative enough to put up a new layout, I completely avoid my website. I don’t even blog.
